On the morning of March 10, 2017 "Building a Chinese Heart Together" healthy start line angel (spring) Marathon started in Yeyahu National Wetland Park in Yanqing District, Beijing. More than 500 volunteers from the capital's hospitals and warm-hearted people participated in the activity. Beijing Royal Integrative Medicine Hospital sent a volunteer team consisting of three people to participate in the marathon. At the same time, three medical expert volunteers were dispatched to the Honorable Hospital in Yanqing to conduct a clinic.
The three athletes participating in the marathon race from Beijing Royal Hospital were a combination of the old, middle and young age. The eldest, Director Wang Yuexia, is 54 years old this year. They encouraged each other and completed the entire journey of more than 20 kilometers, fully demonstrating the mental outlook and style of Royal Hospital.
When the Healthy Start Line was underway, the Organizing Committee also organized medical staff in the capital to go to Qingshuihe Village, Huailai County, Hebei Province, community health service center of Kangzhuang Town, Yanqing District, Beijing, geriatric hospital of Kangzhuang Town and the Honorable Hospital in Yanqing to carry out medical consultations, health education, sympathy and other love charity activities.
After 10:00 in the morning, the three experts dispatched by Royal Hospital came to the "Yanqing Honorable Hospital". This area mainly accepts disabled soldiers with no family, retired soldiers and relatives of military martyrs, as well as conducting an adoption service. The volunteers sent domestic supplies and medicines to the elderly in the Honorable Hospital. Afterwards, the specialist in brain diseases - Li Yajun, the orthopaedic specialist - Qi Yongjian and the director of the medical insurance office - Chen Hui visited the room of the elderly who were not in good health, to individually examine encephalopathy and orthopedics patients using Chinese medicine , analyse the disease, give prescriptions on the spot, and present medicine suitable for each elderly person.
In the room of Red Army veteran, 96-year-old Xia Furong, the directors Li Yajun and Qi Yongjian checked while chatting with the old man and saw that he was in a good physical and mental condition. Everyone was relieved and gave the staff of Honorable Hospital suggestions on further adjustment of his medication.
After the clinic ended and before the old people had lunch, the volunteers also sang old songs with the old people, who all had happy smiles.
